Gap-Toothed

Grinning up from the lower half of the frame, a shaggy yellow puppet monster is all one column of long, wiry fur, head and body together. Two glossy white eyes sit slightly off-level, their pupils a touch cross-eyed. The wide mouth shows a crooked row of square teeth with a clear gap at the front. Behind it is nothing but deep navy-black, and soft light catches each stray strand of fur.

Egg-yolk yellow and mustard on inky navy is about as cheerful as a dark background gets. The empty top half gives the face room, so the grin lands near eye height when hung. A big print makes the fur look almost touchable. It suits a kids' room, a games room or a playful entry.
