The Caped Cat

Standing upright in profile, a cream cat in a blue suit lifts its chin to the right, an orange cape streaming out behind it to the left edge. Its tail curls into a neat hook at the hip. The sky behind is a mass of rolling cream clouds on deep blue, and a strip of green and golden fields shows at the very bottom. Everything is built from short, directional brushstrokes in swirling bands.

Cobalt, cream and burnt orange give it a dreamy, heroic mood. The cat's head sits near the top, so the tall shape lets the cape sweep down the full height. A big print shows the grain of every stroke. It suits a study, a kids' room or a wall beside books.
