Sideways Hello

Lying on its side along a white ledge, a Siamese cat peers out with its head tilted almost sideways, wide black eyes ringed in white and the tip of a pink tongue showing. One dark-pointed paw reaches over the edge with claws just out. Its tail curls up at the top left. Fur and whiskers are drawn in crisp inked strokes over flat tomato red, with a hard shadow below.

Tomato red, cream fur and chocolate points keep it bold and cheeky. The face sits in the middle, the paw dangles into the lower third, and the empty red above gives it room to breathe. At 9 × 18 in the fine whisker lines stay sharp. It suits a kitchen, a kids' room or a cat lover's hallway.

Look closer and the claws are small white hooks, each with a dark outline. The shadow under the arm is a hard-edged slab of darker red, and the ledge shows a thin brown stripe beneath its white lip.
