Under the Portal

Parked dead centre and seen head-on, a red Ferrari F40 fills the bottom of the frame, rear wing just showing over its roof and headlamps tucked under clear covers. Above it rises a dark charcoal gateway with a tall, narrow opening onto a mint sky that fades to warm cream at the horizon. Ribbed walls line both sides, dark brown above and sand-coloured below.

Signal red, deep charcoal, mint and sand: flat, screen-print colour with no texture to distract. The portal leads the eye up from the car into the sky, which uses the tall shape well. Clean edges stay sharp at 9 × 18 in. It suits a garage, a mid-century living room or a study.

Small details reward a closer look: two dark ducts cut into the bonnet, a tiny yellow badge between the lamps and a black mesh intake under the bumper. The windscreen holds a pale, criss-crossed reflection of the sky.
