The Gardener

A chubby green T. rex with a cream belly stands in the lower half, short arms held up, eyes rolled skyward and a grin full of pointy teeth. Behind him a terracotta pot holds a young tree with a slim trunk and leaves in green and rusty red. Loose black ink outlines wobble a little, and the colour is laid in flat. A pale blue puddle of shadow sits under his feet.

Sage green, olive, terracotta and soft cream keep it gentle and earthy. The empty sage sky over his head takes up more than half the height, which leaves room to breathe and makes the little gardener feel proud of his tree. It suits a child's room, a sunny kitchen, or anyone who keeps too many pot plants.
