Storm Run

Low and close, a battered turquoise Porsche 911 tears along a mountain road towards the viewer, round yellow headlights glaring and its flank covered in scrawled red graffiti. Flames lick out behind the rear wheel. Overhead, a hot magenta sky gives way to a grey storm cloud split by a fork of white lightning, and power lines slash diagonally across the top. Heavy ink outlines and flat colour give it a comic-panel punch.

Magenta, turquoise, storm grey and flame yellow make it loud and fast. The car fills the lower half, the power lines lead in from the top left, and the lightning pulls your eye across the middle. A large print shows the scratchy hatching on the road. It suits a garage, a games room or a teenager's wall.
