Blue Over Red

Enormous blocky letters spell LIFE twice across a cream poster: once in teal blue, and again below in tomato red, cut off so it reads almost as abstract shapes. In the thin strip of pale sky between them, an older man in a brown jacket and jeans stands with his back to us. Further along, a woman in a long rust coat walks away, and a maroon station wagon waits on the right.

Cream, teal blue and tomato red with small earthy browns. The two words act as heavy bands, squeezing the small figures into a single horizon line at the centre. A block of tiny credit-style text sits near the bottom. It suits a living room, a hallway or a wall shared with other retro film prints.
