No. 031, in twelve platesThe Red Eyes
A dozen pairs of goggles on a field of pure red, and every one of them is looking back at you.
The rules of this room are simple: a flat, saturated red ground, black ink cross-hatching, and white only where an eyeball needs it. The drawing style is scratchy and deliberate, like an underground comic, and the shadows under each subject are scribbled straight onto the red. What runs through all twelve plates is eyewear: goggles, spectacles, binocular-like lenses and headsets, almost always with something staring out of them.
Some of the goggles have grown bodies. A pair of bulging eyes sprouts from a stalk like a mushroom; another wobbles on a long snaking neck; a striped pair struts on two thin bird legs. Square frames lie toppled on their side, one pupil still rolled toward you, and a pair with black lenses tilts on stubby antennae. In one plate a giant pair peeks over the top edge at a crowd of tiny hairy creatures and a little signpost. Two plates are human, more or less: a slouching fellow in a chunky headset gesturing at nothing, and a pin-headed figure in slit goggles. The last shows a bald boy in welding goggles while small lens-shaped objects drift overhead.
The red is uniform and bright, so in most plates the top of the screen is plain colour and the clock sits on it cleanly, white or black. The subjects cluster in the middle, right where the eye goes after unlocking. On the Home Screen this set is loud: icons stay readable, but expect the red to dominate, and the darker hatching tends to fall around the middle rows. Dark mode or light, it will not go unnoticed.
Built for people who like their phone a bit odd, fans of absurd comics and anyone who wants red with a sense of humour. Mushroom Eyes, Empty Lenses and The Headset download free in full resolution; the other nine are premium.

How The Red Eyes wears.
Absurd, playful, loud, curious. Cross-hatched ink drawing on flat red, sized for every iPhone up to 2160 × 4800.
On the Lock Screen
Mushroom Eyes leaves the top third pure red, so the time floats above a pair of bulging eyes that stare back.
On the Home Screen
Toppled Frames sits low and sideways, keeping the upper rows of icons on plain red.
Full resolution, every model
Each plate is delivered at the exact size of your iPhone's screen, up to 2160 × 4800, so nothing is stretched or soft at the edges.

About The Red Eyes.
Are The Red Eyes wallpapers creepy or funny?
Funny, mostly. The eyes are wide and a bit startled rather than menacing, and several of the goggles have legs or necks that make them look like odd little pets.
Is the red the same in every plate?
Very close: a bright pillar-box red throughout, with only slight shifts toward cardinal in a few plates.
Do I have to pay?
Not for three of them: Mushroom Eyes, Empty Lenses and The Headset are free in full resolution. The other nine are 10 credits each, kept for re-download forever, or every pair of goggles with Unlimited.
