No. 012, in eleven platesWeeweeheads
A queue of lanky little people with long faces and short attention spans, crammed in shoulder to shoulder.
Weeweeheads is a marker drawing that refuses to leave white space alone. The characters are tall, rounded columns, part bean and part thumb, each given a face in a few quick strokes and then dressed in stripes, polka dots, crosshatching or a heavy fringe. The palette is plain black on white, sometimes with the gaps flooded black so the crowd pops forward like a shadow-puppet show.
Some crowds are tiny and endless, hundreds of smiling heads receding to the top edge. Others zoom in on a dozen faces: a bearded one, a girl with a straight-cut fringe, a winking moon-face, a character with a single enormous eye. One plate stacks the figures into neat columns like totem poles in striped jumpers; another lines up stiff gentlemen with side partings, a top hat and tartan trousers. No two faces share a mood.
There is no quiet corner in any plate, so the clock always sits over a crowd. A bold weight with a black or white tint both work, because the lines are thick and the contrast is high. The stacked columns and the zoomed-in faces are easiest on the eye behind app icons; the densest crowds are better saved for the Lock Screen. With the gaps mostly white, dark widgets read best, while the black-ground plates keep white labels clear.
For doodlers, sketchbook keepers and anyone who likes a wallpaper that rewards a second look on the bus. The Mixed Bag, Black Gaps and Grey Ranks are free in full resolution, and the other eight crowds are premium.
Hundreds of faces, and every one of them has an opinion.

About Weeweeheads.
What exactly is a Weeweehead?
It is the collection's name for its cast: tall, rounded little figures that are mostly head, each with a face and an outfit of its own.
Which plate has the most white space?
Stacked Columns. The figures stand in four tidy stacks with clear white lanes between them, which also makes it the friendliest plate behind app icons.
