No. 048, in twelve platesJungle Cocktails
Zebras, giraffes and lions take happy hour seriously, under paper umbrellas and a sun the colour of a blood orange.
Jungle Cocktails is drawn like a mid-century travel poster that wandered into a bar. Flat cut-paper shapes, speckled grain and patches of halftone dot sit on a cream ground, in a tight palette of tomato red, marigold, dusty navy and powder blue. Paper cocktail umbrellas turn up in nearly every plate, and so does fruit: halved apples, citrus wheels, a pear, a pomegranate split open. That repetition is the glue.
Zebras are the stars of the first half, inked in bold black stripes: one with an umbrella tucked behind its ear, another eyeing a martini glass with a slice of orange on the rim. Giraffes take over later, one spotted in black against a red sun and a tower block skyline, one built from triangles of patchwork colour beside a tall glass and straw, one almost dissolved into red abstraction. The lions are the oddest guests: a stone-still sphinx under a parasol, a geometric cat above lettering that spells LOON, and a long grey mane drawn in fine lines next to a fizzing highball.
Most plates leave a cream sky or a single round sun across the top, so the clock lands on calm paper. The busier compositions crowd their fruit and glassware into the bottom third, where widgets and the dock will cover part of the still life. With so much cream about, these favour a light Home Screen, where dark text widgets stay easy to read.
This is a set for anyone who owns a bar cart, collects old travel posters, or likes a phone that feels warm and slightly ridiculous. Bar Cart Still Life, Zebra and the Orange Wheel, and Zebra and Pomegranate are on the house in full resolution; the other nine are premium.
The sun is a blood orange, and everyone here is holding a drink.

About Jungle Cocktails.
Is there a darker Jungle Cocktails plate for dark mode?
Patchwork Giraffe has a black night sky behind its red sun and is the darkest of the twelve. The rest sit on cream or pale blue and lean toward light mode.
How realistic are the animals?
Not very, by design. They are stylised like 1950s poster art, with bold stripes and spots, flat colour and simple shapes, plus just enough detail in the faces to give each one some character.
