No. 006, in 24 platesVintage Formula One
Twenty-four plates from the age of cigar bodies, gold wheels and numbers painted big enough to read from the grandstand.
This is the largest motor-racing room in the gallery, and it is hung in four distinct groups. The first is a set of studio portraits: red and cream open-wheelers with gold wheels and tall wings, posed against flat racing green or a green so dark it reads as night. The second borrows the language of the screen-printed race poster, with cars charging head-on out of red and cream sunburst rays across woodcut-textured tarmac. The third looks straight down on slender cigar-shaped chassis in tangerine and sand, laid out like measured drawings with crisp shadows and plenty of margin. The fourth is two painted race days, all teal sky and fluttering flags.
Fifty-One From Above is the showpiece: a red and sky-blue car seen from overhead, engine bay open, its shadow stretched long across warm sand. Pit Wall Cheer and Clock Tower Straight put you trackside in an older era, drivers in open helmets roaring past a packed grandstand while spectators lean over the wall. The Big Four sets a red numeral the height of the screen above a car on a streaked track, and Halftone Cigar renders an orange chassis in visible print dots with a tiny caption in each corner.
The green portraits suit the Lock Screen best, since the car sits low and the time gets an expanse of solid colour above it. The sunburst posters are busier; their rays converge behind the car, so the clock lands on stripes, which looks deliberate rather than cluttered. The overhead chassis run the full height of the frame and work as a frame for a sparse Home Screen in light mode.
For collectors of race programmes, garage-wall poster people and anyone who misses gold wheels. Six of the 24 plates are free in full resolution, and Unlimited opens the rest, so you can rotate through every group.
Numbers painted big enough to read from the back of the grandstand.

About Vintage Formula One.
Which era of racing do these vintage plates draw on?
They borrow from several. The painted race days and overhead cigar-bodied cars recall the front-engined and early rear-engined years, while the green portraits and sunburst posters show the winged, wide-tyred cars that followed. None of them is a copy of a specific historic car.
Are these official Formula One posters?
No. They are original pxCream illustrations in a retro poster style. They are not licensed by or affiliated with Formula One, any team or any driver.
How many of the 24 are free?
Six: Cream and Claret Profile; Pit Wall Cheer; Number Three, Overhead; Sunburst Charge; Halftone Cigar; and Letterbox Front. The other eighteen are premium, 10 credits each in the pxCream app with re-downloads forever, or all included with Unlimited.
