No. 077, in six platesTeam Red Formula One

Team Red works like a lighting study. Each of the six plates is a smooth photographic gradient that runs from near-black maroon at the top, through crimson, to a hot scarlet glow along the horizon, then drops into a black or oxblood ground. Against that glow sits a single modern race car, small and mostly in shadow, caught by a sliver of white light on its bodywork. There is no track furniture, no crowd and no type. The colour carries the whole series.

Scarlet Horizon shows the car from behind, square to the camera, where the sky is at its brightest. Under the Red Sun is the boldest composition: an enormous dull-red disc fills the middle of a black screen and the car is a pale sliver skimming the bottom edge. In Crest of the Hill the racer tops a long sloping road far off to the right, as if it has just appeared over a rise. Going Away and Head-On in the Haze are mirror images, one tail-on, one nose-on, both centred on a band of mist where the red meets the dark.

These are among the most Lock Screen friendly plates in the gallery. The upper third is always the darkest part of the gradient, so a white clock sits in deep maroon with real contrast, and the car lands well below it. On the Home Screen the black lower half settles under the dock, and with dark mode on the icons look lit from behind by the glow. In light mode the red is strong enough that you may want fewer widgets.

Made for fans of red racing cars and of late-afternoon drama, and for anyone who keeps their phone dark. Crest of the Hill and Going Away are free in full resolution; the other four sunsets are premium.
