No. 028, in twelve platesRemote Work
Twelve home offices where the commute is a hallway and the cat attends most meetings.
Remote Work is drawn in a soft, flat style with a dry-brush texture, the look of a contemporary picture book or an editorial spot illustration. The colours stay in a warm, sunlit range: biscuit walls, milky-tea timber, terracotta for clothing and chairs, with a cool duck-egg teal saved for the odd sofa or laptop. Every plate is a sunny room seen almost straight on, and every room belongs to someone who has made working from home look suspiciously pleasant.
The details are where you linger. In Morning Mug a woman with her hair in a bun sips from a cup at her laptop beneath a wall clock. Window Seat looks over a worker's shoulder toward a tall window of autumn leaves while a cat waits on the rug to be noticed. Laundry Day puts the desk beside a washing machine, a line of drying clothes overhead and two cats underfoot, and Geraniums sets a burst of red flowers in the window behind a woman in glasses. There are books on almost every wall.
These are busy pictures, so it helps to be honest about where they go. Shelves of books and plants fill the upper part of most plates, which puts the Lock Screen clock over a lot of small detail; the scenes with tall windows, such as Window Seat and Geraniums, give it a lighter, calmer patch. On the Home Screen a full grid of icons will hide the desk, and the light backgrounds favour dark or tinted icons. A sparse page with a row or two of apps lets each room breathe.
It suits freelancers, students, book hoarders and anyone whose best colleague has four legs. Morning Mug, Window Seat and Library Wall are free in full resolution, and the other nine rooms are premium, should you fancy moving house every week.
The only dress code is a good chair and a sunny window.
Try each one on before you save it.
Tap any plate to hang it on the Lock Screen, then switch to the Home Screen to see it behind your apps. This is the same preview the app gives you, on your own phone, with your own clock.
Every plate here can be ordered as an unframed matte print, from A$59 with free shipping. Or hang three side by side: any three plates from Remote Work, 8 × 16 in each, for A$179.

About Remote Work.
Are there cats in the Remote Work wallpapers?
Yes, in four plates: Window Seat, Ginger Audience, Laundry Day and Pinned Up each have at least one cat supervising the work.
Is there a less cluttered plate for the Lock Screen?
Geraniums and Window Seat are the calmest at the top, with window light rather than packed shelves behind the clock.
Do I pay for any of them?
Not for Morning Mug, Window Seat or Library Wall, which are free in full resolution. The other nine are premium, 10 credits each with re-downloads forever, or all twelve with Unlimited.
