No. 091, in six platesMongolian Plains
One white ger, a handful of sheep and skies painted as if someone had embroidered the weather.
Mongolian Plains is painted in thousands of short curling strokes, so dense that the hills look combed and the clouds look like carded wool. The colours are saturated and few: emerald grass, cobalt sky, chalky white cloud. Every plate repeats the same cast, one white ger and a small flock of sheep, which gives the six works the feel of a single camp watched through a changing day.
The weather does the storytelling. In Big Weather a towering cloud fills the upper half above a large ger with a red door frame, its flock trailing alongside. Cloud Column twists a white spiral up through deep blue. Flock by the Ger sets a quilted cloud bank behind layers of rolling hills, and The Lone Ewe brings one sheep close, head down and grazing, while the tent slips half out of frame. Orange Crown gives the ger a rust-red roof ring.
There is a lot going on in these skies, so choose with that in mind. In Flock by the Ger and Stovepipe a bright cloud band sits right where the clock lands, which softens white type. The Lone Ewe has the darkest, steadiest sky and keeps the time crisp. The camp and sheep live in the lower third, mostly clear of a widget row but close to the dock, and the strong green holds white labels well.
It suits travellers, people who love folk textiles and textured painting, and anyone who would rather look at sheep than notifications. Flock by the Ger and Big Weather are free to download in full resolution, and the other four views of the camp are premium.
Even the sheep look stitched in.

About Mongolian Plains.
Is that a yurt or a ger?
Both words describe the same round felt tent; ger is the Mongolian name. Each plate has one, white with a stovepipe, surrounded by grazing sheep.
Will the clouds clash with my clock?
In Flock by the Ger and Stovepipe the brightest cloud sits behind the time, so a darker clock tint helps. The Lone Ewe and Big Weather have deeper blue up top.
Is there a charge for this collection?
For four of the six. Flock by the Ger and Big Weather are free in full resolution; the rest are 10 credits each, yours to re-download forever, or included with Unlimited.
