No. 096, in seven platesCabins

Cabins is rendered like an architect's presentation photograph taken on a cold morning: soft fog, timber cut pale as oats, and glass that glows with lamp light. The palette is narrow and warm, fog grey into blush, with rust-coloured grasses and dark wet earth along the bottom. What ties the seven plates together is the weather. The fog is always in, and every building is seen across a field, never up close.

The buildings themselves change. The A-Frame is a tall wooden triangle with a single glass door, flanked by bare trees. Slatted Pavilion and Glass Hall are open frames of vertical fins and glazing, one sitting in wild grasses, the other with a long dining table visible inside. Peach Morning opens its whole front onto a sofa and chairs under a dawn sky, Lit Living Room pairs two gabled houses with a lamp burning indoors, and The Barn is a windowless timber box standing alone on dark grass.

Roughly the top half of every plate is pale fog, which is lovely and also worth knowing about: a white clock reads softly against it. If you want the time to be crisp, choose a darker clock colour when you customise the Lock Screen. The buildings sit just below the middle, so on the Home Screen they fall between icon rows, and the darker grass gives the dock some weight. These are light wallpapers and look most natural with a light appearance.

They suit architecture lovers, minimalists who like beige and timber, and anyone quietly saving for a weekend in the country. Two of the seven are free in full resolution, the rest premium.
