Look at any surface here and you will find it is made of lines: grass laid down stroke by stroke, water ruled in fine ripples, clouds wound into fingerprint whorls. The effect is somewhere between an engraving and a stitched sampler. The colours never change much, raspberry, rose, teal, ochre and a soft olive, which gives all eleven plates the feel of one long autumn afternoon in a country that only exists in picture books.
The Arched Canal sends still teal water under a brick bridge between rows of tall poplars. Onion Domes raises a rose-pink tower and green cupolas from a grove of red trees, and Riverside Palace sets a turreted pink building on terraced banks. Mirror Lake doubles a stand of crimson pines in glassy water. The figures are few and quiet: Deer Wood finds three deer grazing among giant trunks and spotted mushrooms, Woman in the Reeds shows a teal-skinned woman standing among golden stalks with blue birds, and The Shop Doorway frames a couple pausing inside a shop full of baskets and bread.
Several scenes leave the top fifth for sky, as with Furrowed Field and Mirror Lake, where pale cream clouds give the clock a soft background. The detail thickens lower down, where widgets and dock sit, so the screen stays readable rather than bare. Warm mid-tones suit a dark Home Screen best; on light mode, Valley Path and Rolling Orchard hold labels well because their colours stay even.

Is Landscape of Lines an autumn wallpaper set?
It reads that way: the trees are red, orange and gold in nearly every plate. Teal water and skies keep it from feeling too seasonal, so it works year round.
Are there people or animals in these landscapes?
A few. Deer Wood has three deer, Rolling Orchard has tiny grazing animals, and two plates feature people: a woman among reeds and a couple in a shop doorway.
