No. 089, in eleven platesFloral Theme
A sample book of eleven floral prints, from a whisper of rosebuds to a meadow packed to the edges.
Floral Theme is less a single picture than a swatch book. Each plate is an all-over repeat of the kind you might find on a cotton dress or a tea towel, and each takes a different approach: soft watercolour, crisp ditsy print, fine pen engraving, painted meadow. The grounds shift from bright white and blush to sage, oatmeal, taupe and, once, pure black. What links them is scale. The flowers stay small, so every plate reads as texture first and botany second.
Coral watercolour blossoms drift across white paper. Tiny red buds nod on hair-thin stems over pale sage. A grey plate is drawn like an old engraving, round many-petalled blooms and leaves packed in fine line. On oatmeal, crimson carnations share their stems with a few small blue bees; on taupe, a field of pale blue flowers. The black plate is a crowded ditsy of white and pink five-petal blooms, and the peach meadow is a jumble of yellow daisies and orange wildflowers. Rosebuds on near-white and pink and blue sprigs on blush keep things gentle.
Because every plate is a repeat, there is no focal point for the clock to bump into, and widgets can go anywhere. The real question is contrast. The pale plates want a dark clock and suit light mode; the black ditsy and the densely packed garden take white text and dark mode better. The sparsest patterns are the most forgiving behind a full grid of icons.
This set suits cottagecore fans, home sewers who know their prints, and anyone who wants a new floral every season without changing their style. Three prints are free in full resolution (Coral Watercolour, Midnight Ditsy, and Carnations and Bees), and the remaining eight are premium.
Eleven prints, one rule: the flowers stay small.

About Floral Theme.
Which Floral Theme plate is the darkest?
Midnight Ditsy, a dense print of white and pink blooms on black. Nearly everything else sits on white, blush, sage, oatmeal or taupe.
Do the flower patterns look busy behind app icons?
The sparse ones barely register: Scattered Rosebuds and Red Buds on Sage leave plenty of ground showing. Peach Meadow and Packed Garden are busier and shine brightest on the Lock Screen.
