This is the most eclectic room in the gallery, and it does not pretend otherwise. Twenty-three plates in four or five distinct families sit together because each turns the saturation all the way up. The largest group is smooth digital gradient: folds of violet and indigo lit from within, cut by thin ribbons of pale light. Around them hang blurred horizon skies, streaked lime-and-yellow motion, and a run of graphic camouflage.

Solar Swirl is the showpiece, a red and gold glow wrapped in sweeping blue and violet curves. Violet Silk, Purple Swell and Lilac Ribbon are quieter cousins in the same ink. Blurred Dusk, Peach Haze and Horizon Line are sunsets with all the detail melted out, just bands of mauve, coral and lavender. Lime Rush and Green Streaks fire diagonal shards across the frame, Yellow Glitch looks like a broadcast losing signal, and the camo plates, Pixel Camo, Halftone Camo, Spray Camo and Party Camo, swap army green for hot pink, teal and acid yellow. Zebra Fever runs a flame of orange, yellow and red through black and white stripes.

For the Lock Screen, the abstract gradient wallpapers are the safest: their tops are smooth fields of colour, so the clock lands on clean ground. The sunset plates are almost all sky and suit a light Home Screen. The camo, zebra and streak plates are patterned edge to edge, so they reward a bold clock and a light hand with widgets.

Think of this as a sampler for anyone who changes wallpaper with their mood. Six of them, Zebra Fever, Magenta Melt, Ember Ribbons, Crimson Veil, Peach Haze and Rose Smoke, cost nothing in full resolution; the other seventeen are premium.
