No. 034, in seventeen platesCyberpunk Australian Fauna
The bush has had an upgrade: emus, wombats and cockatoos sit for their portraits in headsets, lit like a sci-fi casting call.
These are studio portraits in a near-black room, lit with a single cold key light and a faint teal rim that picks out fur, feather and whisker. There is almost no colour beyond charcoal, smoke grey and the warm brown of a kangaroo's coat; the only accents are a red diode on a visor or a pink edge of light along a cockatoo's back. What ties the seventeen plates together is the hardware. Every animal wears a headset, visor or goggles, and wears it with total composure.
The line-up is unmistakably local. Three sulphur-crested cockatoos flare their crests over slim visors; three emus include one standing tall in an empty hall striped with strip lights; four wombats include one seated square to the camera with its headset pushed up like sunglasses, and another in a leather jacket. Kangaroos turn up in clear lab goggles and mirrored ski shades, flying foxes poke leathery ears around their visors, and a dingo in a buttoned beige shirt is easily the best-dressed of the lot.
Because the backgrounds fall away to black, the top of most frames is empty, and the clock lands in shadow above an ear or a crest. The cockatoo portraits are the exception: white feathers fill the upper third and soften a white clock, so keep those for the Home Screen. Everywhere else the near-black ground makes icons stand out, suits dark mode, and lets an OLED display switch the empty corners almost fully off.
Good for sci-fi readers, tech workers with a sense of humour, and anyone who has met an emu and suspected it was running hidden software. Four portraits are free in full resolution (Emu in a Visor; Cockatoo, Crest Up; Headset on the Brow; and Wombat Close-Up) and the other thirteen are premium.
The wombat wears its headset pushed up, like sunglasses at a barbecue.

How Cyberpunk Australian Fauna wears.
Deadpan, futuristic, shadowy, sleek. Low-key studio portraiture with sci-fi props, sized for every iPhone up to 2160 × 4800.
On the Lock Screen
The emu in the hall and the seated wombat leave a tall black space overhead, so the clock floats clear of the animal.
On the Home Screen
Near-black grounds make app icons pop and sit comfortably with dark mode and tinted icons.
Full resolution, every model
Each plate is delivered at the exact size of your iPhone's screen, up to 2160 × 4800, so nothing is stretched or soft at the edges.

About Cyberpunk Australian Fauna.
Which animals appear in Cyberpunk Australian Fauna?
Kangaroos, emus, wombats, sulphur-crested cockatoos, flying foxes and a single dingo. Each one wears some kind of headset, visor or goggles.
Are these wallpapers suited to an OLED iPhone?
Very much so. The backgrounds are close to true black, so the display lights only the animal, and the portraits look sharpest with dark mode switched on.
