No. 058, in twelve platesArty Sketchy
A sketchbook of hotels and handsome old buildings, drawn fast in black ink and signed with a flourish nobody can read.
These are pen drawings left deliberately unfinished. The ground is warm paper, somewhere between ivory and blush, and the line is a thin black ink that wobbles, overshoots and doubles back the way a real hand does. Red is the only colour allowed in, and it is rationed: a vintage car, a rooftop, a scrawled signature, a hotel sign. Twelve plates, one sketchbook.
Architecture does most of the posing. A gabled apartment block with pointed turrets appears more than once, drawn tight in one plate and loose in another. A narrow building rises floor after floor of wrought-iron balconies to a red HOTEL sign at street level. A grand hotel with red turret roofs floats among stray construction lines. Elsewhere the view tilts up past overhead wires to a vertical hotel sign, a crowd fills the foot of a skyline, and rows of men in suits stroll beneath a Parisian corner building, one of them inked solid black. The odd one out is a single-line face in profile, all brow, nose and lip.
Because almost every drawing sits in the middle or lower half of the frame, the top third is blank paper, a gift for the clock and the date. On the Home Screen the cream ground keeps things bright and airy; dark app labels sit better than white, so this set favours light mode. The skyline and suited-crowd plates carry more detail at the bottom, where the dock will cover a little of it.
Pick these if you keep a sketchbook, love old hotels, or want a phone that feels like good stationery. Scribbled Rooftops, Red Coupe Corner and Red Turrets are free to save in full resolution, and the other nine sketches are premium.
The top third is blank paper, and the clock gets it all to itself.
Try each one on before you save it.
Tap any plate to hang it on the Lock Screen, then switch to the Home Screen to see it behind your apps. This is the same preview the app gives you, on your own phone, with your own clock.
Every plate here can be ordered as an unframed matte print, from A$59 with free shipping. Or hang three side by side: any three plates from Arty Sketchy, 8 × 16 in each, for A$179.

How Arty Sketchy wears.
Airy, urbane, relaxed, nostalgic. Loose ink sketch on cream paper, sized for every iPhone up to 2160 × 4800.
On the Lock Screen
Scribbled Rooftops leaves almost half the screen as bare cream above the drawing, so the time floats on paper.
On the Home Screen
The Small Hotel sits as a tiny drawing in the centre, leaving clean margins for rows of icons.
Full resolution, every model
Each plate is delivered at the exact size of your iPhone's screen, up to 2160 × 4800, so nothing is stretched or soft at the edges.

About Arty Sketchy.
Do the Arty Sketchy wallpapers work in dark mode?
They are light by nature: cream paper and black ink. In dark mode the white labels lose some contrast, so these look their best with a light Home Screen or tinted icons.
Is the handwriting in the drawings real words?
No, it is decorative scribble, like an artist's signature. It adds rhythm without asking you to read anything.
What do they cost?
Three cost nothing: Scribbled Rooftops, Red Coupe Corner and Red Turrets. The other nine are premium, 10 credits each in the pxCream app and kept for re-download forever, or every sketch with Unlimited.
